Google Ads Script – Lin Rodnitzky Ratio

“Is my account spending its budget efficiently?”

It’s a question every Google Ads advertiser should be asking every month if not every week.

Yet…answering this question is hard!

How do you know?

You could look at all the individual search terms and decide if their clicks are worth the money.

With THOUSANDS of search terms in your account, this could easily take days!

But, what if you could quickly calculate the efficiency of your Google Ads account, and summarize it in a single score?

Turns out, YOU CAN!

Just Script It!

Google Ads Script – Negative Keyword Suggestions

Are you tired of endlessly sifting through your search term reports?

With Google pushing broad match like a fitness coach demanding “just one more rep”,
and match types becoming more fuzzy than my memory of high school Greek,
we are all forced to monitor our search terms like a hawk, 24/7,
and negate all those completely irrelevant keyword matches that Google throws at us.

Not doing so inevitably brings unnecessary costs and low-quality clicks.

BUT, the amount of time needed to spend on Negative Keywords these days, just to block irrelevant searches is simply ridiculous.

It can easily take HOURS per week!

Before you know it, you’re turning into a full-time bouncer for irrelevant search traffic.

Not my ideal job (especially since I hardly reach 5’8″ / 1.76m);
I needed something that could punch above my own weight to fight all that off-target traffic.

So, how about we automate this monotony marathon of discovering search terms that waste our budget?

That’s exactly what I thought when I created this script:

Google Ads Monthly Reporting Script – My Very Basic Version

I don’t do fancy reporting.

In the end, there are only 4 numbers that really matter:
1. Google Ad Spend
2. Gross Profit (from Google Ad Spend)
3. my Google Ads Management Fee
4. your Net Result ( ‘net result’ = ‘profit’ – ‘ad spend’ – ‘management fee’)

Here’s what that looks like:

And here’s how I automate that via Google Ads Scripts:

Google Ads Script – Automated GPT Keyword Suggestions

Script : Automated GPT Keyword Suggestions

What it does:
The script automates Keyword Research for your account.
It prompts Chat GPT to suggest new relevant keywords based on the top converting keywords in your account.
It will only suggest keywords that are not already in your account and adds them to a Google Sheet. The link to sheet is sent to your email.

The output will look something like this:

Google Ads Script - Automated KWR via GPT

Why you care:
Adding new relevant keywords to your account is one of the best ways to grow performance. Thorough keyword research will give you these keywords, BUT it is very time-consuming and  feels like being in a desert, with your motivation evaporating under the scorching sun.  Having this task automated for you is like a thirst-quenching oasis.

Happy scripting!

Google Ads Script – Performance Max Non-Converting Search Term Alerts

Let’s talk  PMax search terms…

You are a PPC Pro, so you LOVE your keywords, right?

Keywords are _the_ most powerfull signal of intent.

Keywords are great to target.

AND keywords are great to UNtarget (exclude/negate).

Adding negative keywords to our accounts is one of the best ways to reduce wasted ad spend and increase profits.

Yet Google’s Performance Max is making it very, VERY difficult for us to exlude these non-converting search terms that just give donations to the Bank Of Nowhere (aka Google’s shareholders).

Performance Max is a black box.
Extremely little data about its performance is shared with us via the Google Ads interface.

Even a simple report like clicks and conversions for PMax search terms has long been unavailable for us.

No More!

Luckily for us, the Google Ads API allows us to pull some more data from the Google Ads platform.
And we can use a script to do some nice things with this data!

Imagine having a Google Ads Script that alerts you every week on search terms that have had a significant amount of clicks, but ZERO conversions.

Every week you’ll recieve an email with a link to a Google Sheet that list all these non-converting search terms. Ready for you to exlude them in your campaigns.

Neat right?

That script is right here, free for you to use ->
