ERROR: ShoppingContent API call to X failed with error: “User cannot access account”
Common causes:
(1) You have an error in the target merchant ID, or
(2) you forgot to register the user in the Merchant Center.
The latter happens when the script issued a request via the ShoppingContent API, targeting a Google Merchant Center account to which the authenticated user doesn’t have access.
SOLUTION:
(1) Fix the merchant ID in your code.
(2) Next to that, the account you use to authorize the Google Ads script should also have access to the Google Merchant Center account associated with the merchant center id you use to retrieve data from the ShoppingContent API. Simply put: make sure your email address is also added to the list of users with account access to the merchant centrer account.
